Three siblings travelling from Abuja to Benue State to bury their late mother are reportedly abducted by suspected armed herdsmen along the Ogobia–Otukpo Road. Multiple outlets say the incident occurs in the early hours of Saturday between Omutele and Ankpechi communities, in or near Ohimini Local Government Area. The siblings were allegedly moving the remains of their mother for burial when the attackers intercepted their journey. Reports state that the gunmen not only kidnapped the three children but also seized the mother’s corpse.
