Different outlets give varying injury counts. NDTV and Al Jazeera report 17 people injured, while other outlets such as Mint and multiple Indian newspapers cite 12 to 14 injured. The Indian government minister Ram Mohan Naidu says the turbulence lasted about five minutes and that injured crew members suffered spinal injuries.
