Disney announces Demi Lovato will reprise her role as Mitchie Torres in a cameo in “Camp Rock 3.” Multiple outlets report the cameo is confirmed through Disney’s announcement and associated first-look materials ahead of the film’s premiere. Deadline and Variety add that Lovato is also involved behind the scenes as an executive producer.
Coverage also places the cameo in the broader return of familiar franchise elements. Hollywood Reporter notes the Jonas Brothers’ return, while other outlets mention a Los Angeles premiere event and promotional content drawing on nostalgia. Billboard highlights “Camp Rock 3” moments that include Lovato’s surprise appearance, and Times of India reports Lovato’s reunion with Nick Jonas and Joe and Kevin Jonas at the premiere. The outlets collectively describe the plot framework as Camp Rock characters and a new generation of campers, with the film centered on the band’s search for a new opening act. The movie is set to premiere on Disney Channel before becoming available on Disney+.
