Twitch is adding a new opt-out option that lets streamers block Amazon from using their channel content to train Amazon generative AI models. The setting covers streams, VODs, clips, stream chats, and other channel media such as pictures and text, and it stops that material from being used “in future training” of relevant AI systems.
Twitch users can enable the control through account settings, where it appears under Security and Privacy as “Training for Generative AI.” The outlets also note that the feature is presented as an opt-out rather than an opt-in. Reporting differs mainly in emphasis: some frame it as a long-overdue correction to content permissions, while others describe it primarily as a newly available control and provide guidance on where to find it.
