Rockstar is issuing takedown requests after apparent GTA 6 gameplay clips and a Leonida map image were shared online ahead of the game’s scheduled Netflix showcase. Two short videos circulated on August 18, showing HUD elements and activities including a basketball minigame and driving sequences that escalate into combat and police attention.
The leaked materials reportedly reference features such as a six-star wanted level, a stamina meter, fuel gauges, and a “karma” system, though the outlets note that the footage’s full authenticity has not been independently confirmed. The leaker, identified as “CyberLeek,” says it is protesting a disc-free physical approach and digital preorders. GameSpot reports the account posted “commandments” aimed at Rockstar and other publishers, while the Times of India says CyberLeek claims responsibility.
The Leonida map shared online was also part of the posting, but its origin is unclear, with some coverage suggesting it could be fan-made. The Netflix special is set to debut on August 27, and GTA 6 is scheduled for release on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
