Russian drones hit a shopping centre in the Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih on Friday, killing 14 people and wounding more than 120 others, local authorities say. The attack happens during daytime activity, with reports indicating casualties could rise as search and rescue continues.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky condemns the strike as a “double-tap,” saying a first drone wave hits and then a second drone hits about half an hour later while emergency workers and responders are dealing with the scene. Multiple outlets report his claim that the second strike targets rescue efforts. Zelensky also describes the attack as “cynical and despicable” and calls it terrorist.

Officials in Ukraine, including regional leadership, report 14 deaths and injuries totaling roughly 121, with 22 children among the wounded, according to several sources. Reporting also notes Kryvyi Rih has been hit repeatedly during the war, and this attack follows another reported Russian missile and drone strike on Kyiv the previous day.
