Shelley Fabares, ‘Johnny Angel’ singer and sitcom star, dies at 82

Fabares, known best for her television roles as Francine Webster on the 1970s sitcom "One Day at a Time," Mary Stone on "The Donna Reed Show," and her Billboard Hot 100 song "Johnny Angel," died Saturday in Los Angeles. She was 82.

She also starred in Elvis Presley movies and the sitcom “Coach.” Somewhat reluctantly, she had a No. 1 hit in 1962 with “Johnny Angel.”
