Philip Jerome, a 49-year-old man from Winchester, Hampshire, is jailed for 12 months after breaching a stalking prevention order protecting actor Billie Piper. He appears at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on his birthday and pleads guilty to four breach charges, prosecutors describing an “obsessive” pursuit.
Sources report Jerome is accused of creating and saving images and making posts about Piper on X, including AI-generated images, over several days in December 2025. Police carry out an inspection of his devices and find images of Piper saved on his phone, alongside evidence that he tagged multiple posts. Court is also told he wrote messages that implied an interest in meeting her.
All outlets place the case in a longer-running pattern. The court hears Jerome is subject to a stalking prevention order from 21 July 2022 after earlier harassment connected to Piper, including visits and letters. He is said to have previously been jailed in 2022 for breaching a restraining order after attending a comic convention where she was signing autographs, and prosecutors cite additional harassment history. The defending barrister argues that some of the content resembles behaviour by a fan, but Jerome is still found to have breached the order.
