Security forces rescue 10 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members who were held by suspected kidnappers in Egume Forest, in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State. The victims were abducted while travelling from Abuja to Bayelsa State, and the rescue follows an intelligence-led operation.
All outlets say the operation involves Nigeria Police, the military, and the Department of State Services (DSS), along with other security or auxiliary personnel. The Kogi State Police Command describes the effort as coordinated and sustained, aimed at securing the victims’ safe release.
