A 15-year-old former pupil stabs a caretaker and two other adults at a primary school in Leszczydol-Nowiny, northeast of Warsaw, leaving one person dead and two injured, Polish police say. The attacker is arrested after the assault at the John-Paul II primary school, and officials say staff are able to overpower him after the first attack.

The incident occurs a day after a separate school stabbing in Poland, when a 19-year-old attacked a high school in Ostrołęka, wounding multiple people. Several outlets report the latest attacker wore a helmet-mounted camera and that authorities are investigating whether online content influenced the timing or tactics of the attack. One report also mentions police detained a 17-year-old elsewhere after he allegedly indicated he intended to carry out a “spectacular” act at his school, with knives found in his home.
