Lululemon Athletica’s new chief executive is making early changes to senior leadership to refresh how the company runs product, brand and operations. Multiple outlets report the CEO is completing a first set of leadership moves within her first month on the job, aiming to reinvigorate the brand and improve competitiveness.

Lululemon names Maggie Gauger, CEO of Athleta, as its chief product officer, a role the company is described as newly creating. Other reporting says the company also brings in a product leader and a chief operating officer, while continuing the search to fill additional C-suite positions. Financial Post describes a more integrated leadership model spanning product elevation, brand focus, operations and communications, alongside continuity in certain existing leadership roles.

While outlets differ in emphasis—some focus on the “poaching” angle and new title creation, others on the broader C-suite reshuffle and remaining vacancies—they converge on the same core point: Lululemon is restructuring its top team early in the CEO transition.
