Nintendo of America president Devon Pritchard says there is no announcement from Nintendo about a Grand Theft Auto VI release on the Nintendo Switch 2. In comments reported by Variety and covered by other outlets, she says the decision is a “conversation” between Rockstar and its parent company, Take-Two, and that nothing is being announced on Nintendo’s end at this time.

The outlets frame her remarks as noncommittal, with some emphasizing that fans should not assume GTA VI will appear on Switch 2 despite the console’s capability. Polygon also notes earlier reporting that Rockstar had conducted tests related to Switch 2 compatibility, while stressing that technical feasibility tests do not confirm a planned port.

GTA VI is currently confirmed only for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at launch on November 19, with other platforms not confirmed. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has previously discussed potential opportunities for the platform, but it remains unclear whether GTA VI is among the games considered.
