Melanie Walters, best known for *Gavin & Stacey*, is the second celebrity eliminated from BBC’s *Strictly Come Dancing* in 2026. She and professional dancer Aljaz Skorjanec leave the competition after performing a Charleston that judges do not score highly enough to secure safety.
Across outlets, the elimination is described as happening following week’s results and a dance-off. Walters and Skorjanec are put up against former footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips and his partner, and the judges vote Walters and Skorjanec out after the dance-off. Several reports also note that viewers react online, with some Strictly fans commenting that they expected Walters to be eliminated at this stage.
