Ubisoft is proposing to close Finnish studio RedLynx, the developer behind the Trials side-scrolling racing series, according to multiple reports. The studio reportedly has no current project and is judged unsustainable as Ubisoft continues restructuring. RedLynx is best known for titles including Trials HD and later entries such as Trials Evolution, Trials Fusion, and Trials Rising.

Separately, reports also say Ubisoft is cutting jobs at its Ubisoft Singapore studio. VGC reports layoffs affecting around 70 staff, while GamesIndustry.biz links the Singapore job losses to Ubisoft’s broader efforts to reduce costs and reorganize its development structure, including moving teams into a “Creative Houses” model with shared support across a creative network.

While the outlets agree on the proposed closure of RedLynx and the existence of Singapore layoffs, details vary in emphasis: some focus on RedLynx’s lack of active work, while others stress Ubisoft’s cost-cutting and organizational changes. Ubisoft has described the actions as part of ongoing restructuring.
