Apple is rolling out Hearing Aid and Hearing Test features for AirPods Pro 2 and later to several Canadian provinces through iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2. The updates enable clinical-grade amplification and a five-minute hearing test, with both features intended for adults with perceived mild to moderate hearing loss.

The expansion covers Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Saskatchewan. Ontario is not included in the initial list reported by one outlet, while another says Ontario could be next after changes that would pave the way for launch there. Both features first became available in the United States and select other countries in October 2024.

Across the coverage, the key differences are in emphasis: one outlet focuses on the specific provinces included and the notable absence of Ontario, while the other adds background on Apple’s support details, the status of iOS/iPadOS 27.2 in beta, and the reported pathway for Ontario’s potential later rollout.
