Anduril and Qualcomm announce BlueChip, a new laptop line designed for government, defense and other “critical” users, with manufacturing and assembly planned in the United States. The first model will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Series chips for processing, graphics and on-device AI.

Outlets describe BlueChip as a ruggedized, Arm-based laptop effort aimed first at US military needs, with a stated longer-term goal of expanding US supply-chain involvement. Several reports also frame the announcement as part of a broader push to bring laptop manufacturing back to the US, contrasting with the wider industry’s shift of production overseas.

Quartz and Bloomberg add that orders are planned to open in 2027, while The Verge highlights claims about eventually making laptops entirely in the US. TechCrunch underscores Anduril founder Palmer Luckey’s emphasis on rebuilding not only assembly but also individual components, including those currently made abroad.
