The Toronto Argonauts announce a five-year contract extension for quarterback Chad Kelly, keeping him with the team through the 2031 season.
City News Toronto reports the agreement was reached with Kelly, who is currently in the final year of a three-year contract signed in August 2023. That earlier deal pays him $1.865 million. The Winnipeg Free Press, in its headline framing, describes the new extension as being reportedly worth $1 million per year. Together, the coverage focuses on the length of the extension and its financial terms, with outlets differing mainly in how explicitly they state the reported annual value.
