Rockstar’s upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6 is reported to require more than 200GB of storage on PlayStation 5, with reporting citing a file size of 210GB for the standard edition. The news comes ahead of the game’s November release and follows mentions that players may need to make space for the download.
Several outlets base their figures on PlayStation Game Size’s reporting, and they note that different editions could vary. GameSpot adds that file size details for the $100 Ultimate Edition have not been provided, and it says Xbox Series X|S storage needs are not confirmed but likely similar. Pushsquare also highlights the PS5 figure and frames it as an “absolute monster” install.
Across the coverage, the install-size figure is the main shared point, along with preloading timing. Sources also differ in what extra context they include—such as comparisons to Red Dead Redemption 2 or discussion of platform expectations—while keeping their core focus on storage requirements.
