A trial involving accused former police officer Beau Lamarre-Condon hears testimony from a former friend about an unannounced visit to her home, during which he allegedly cleaned blood from the back of his van. Multiple outlets report the witness described how he arrived to clean and that Lamarre-Condon allegedly told her he had “done something bad.”
The Guardian adds further colour about the witness’s account, including that she drank champagne while he scrubbed blood, and ties the van to the transport of people in the cases being heard. Lamarre-Condon is accused of murders linked to Jesse Baird and Luke Davies in 2024 and has pleaded not guilty.
Coverage also includes a separate report focused on a video of Lamarre-Condon surrendering to police on 23 February 2024. That account says he was accused of murdering Jesse Baird and her boyfriend Luke Davies and that, during his trial, he describes wanting to report the deaths, with a friend encouraging him instead to dispose of bodies.
