Delhi has launched a mobile app for liquor booking that lets residents browse brands, place prepaid orders online, and collect purchases from designated outlets, with no home delivery. The service is reported to be available ahead of Diwali and is operated through the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC), with orders collected within about 48 hours.

Across outlets, the app’s key features are consistent: users can register, view availability, select bottle sizes/quantities, pay digitally, and then pick up from participating liquor stores. Times of India adds that the app is intended to improve transparency and digital management of retail sales. NDTV and another report by NDTV and Times of India both emphasize that home delivery is not yet included and that collection is required.

Outlets also differ in political framing. Times of India highlights an AAP–BJP dispute, with AAP figures questioning the app’s rollout, while officials reportedly say the project was approved in December 2024 during AAP’s tenure. Other coverage focuses more directly on how the app works and where orders can be collected.
