Ranbir Kapoor recounts how he proposed to Alia Bhatt during their trip to Maasai Mara in Kenya, describing a scene where lions were nearby. He shares the story while appearing on Kaun Banega Crorepati 18 (KBC 18), with host Amitabh Bachchan reacting to his account.
Across the outlets, the central details remain consistent: Ranbir planned the proposal as a photographic moment, got the guide and driver involved to capture it from a distance, and used a humorous comparison—himself as a “mouse” and Alia as a “lioness.” Some coverage also mentions that the proposal planning included asking for a stop in the middle of the jungle to allow filming. All sources frame it as an amusing, memorable behind-the-scenes anecdote from the couple’s engagement in Maasai Mara.
