A24’s “The Invite” is set to receive the Vanguard Award at the Palm Springs International Film Awards, with the honour recognizing the film’s cast and director for their collective work. Multiple outlets report that Olivia Wilde, who directs and stars in the film, will be among those accepting the award alongside co-stars.
Coverage details focus on the Palm Springs Film Festival’s slate of events. Deadline adds that the Vanguard Award will be the first in a sequence of honours announced around the festival’s opening-night gala on January 7, 2027. Other outlets emphasize the confirmed attendance of the film’s leading cast at the ceremony, listing the same group of performers.
Across reports, the shared framing is that the award is a cast-and-director recognition for “The Invite,” with the named cast and Wilde connected to the acceptance appearance. Differences are mainly in the amount of scheduling and event-run context rather than in core facts about the award or attendees.
