The Los Angeles Lakers rule Luka Dončić out of Wednesday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers due to back tightness. ESPN and Yahoo Sports report that Dončić will not play, and one outlet also lists another Lakers absence.
ESPN adds that Ziaire Williams (foot) is also ruled out, while the Clippers are without Rui Hachimura due to a quad injury. Other coverage focuses mainly on Dončić’s status, describing his injury as “back tightness” as the reason for his absence. A separate preview piece looks ahead to the matchup on the back-to-back, referencing Dončić’s scoring in a prior game and discussing betting-related expectations.
Overall, outlets are consistent that Dončić is not playing. Differences are primarily in the amount of surrounding injury context and whether the emphasis is on roster implications, matchup framing, or predictions and odds.
