Delhi police arrest two people accused of using fake health camps to obtain Aadhaar-related information and to activate mobile SIM cards later tied to cyber frauds. Police say the accused used biometric details to procure and sell more than 3,000 SIM cards over about a year.

Multiple outlets report that the investigators link the SIMs to a series of cyber-fraud complaints. The Hindu and NDTV both refer to nearly 20 cybercrime cases involving around ₹2.64 crore. The accounts describe the mechanism as stolen or extracted Aadhaar/biometric data being used to facilitate e-SIM/SIM activation, which then supports fraudulent activity.

While all sources focus on the same arrests and underlying alleged scheme, the framing differs slightly. India Today emphasises the “fake health camps” and the Aadhaar data element, while NDTV foregrounds the e-SIM racket and the police case details. The Hindu concentrates on the Aadhaar-data theft via fake health camps and the scale of SIM procurement and alleged linkage to cybercrime complaints.
