The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) deploys a Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) team and personnel under the Bangsamoro Rapid Emergency Action on Disaster Incidence (READi) to assist communities affected by a magnitude 7.8 earthquake in neighboring regions of Soccsksargen and Davao. According to BARMM Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua, the deployment is conducted in coordination with the Office of Civil Defense–Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (OCD-BAR). BARMM officials say the teams are intended to strengthen damage assessment, coordination, and information management in affected areas, supporting broader national emergency response and relief efforts.

Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity Mel Senen Sarmiento also publicly recognizes BARMM’s assistance to quake-affected communities, citing the mobilization of RDANA and READi personnel routed through OCD-BAR. The reports frame the deployment as part of solidarity with affected localities and as a contribution to the ongoing disaster response operations.
