The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) extends certain tax filing, payment, and document submission deadlines for taxpayers affected by a magnitude 7.8 earthquake in parts of Mindanao. In Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 62-2026, the BIR moves covered deadlines originally falling from June 8 to June 29, 2026 to June 30, 2026. The extension applies to taxpayers in BIR Revenue District Offices (RDOs) covering General Santos City and Sarangani (RDO No. 110) and South Cotabato (RDO No. 111). The circular covers both online and manual tax filing and payment and includes the submission of required documents.

The BIR also states that taxpayers covered by the RMC are not subjected to penalties, surcharges, and interest if they comply by the extended deadline. The measure is intended to give additional time for affected taxpayers to complete obligations while areas recover from the earthquake.
