AT&T launches an “Unlimited Day Pass” for eligible cellular-enabled iPads in the United States, offering unlimited data for $3 per day for 24 hours. Multiple outlets report the plan starts today and is aimed at people who want short-term tablet connectivity rather than a monthly cellular plan. The offer does not require a long-term contract or a subscription, and outlets also say it does not involve a credit check. AT&T positions the day pass as carrier-agnostic for the device owner: iPad users can activate the service even if their iPad is associated with or previously used on other wireless carriers such as Verizon or T-Mobile. The service works through the iPad’s eSIM capability, and activation is done in the iPad’s Settings under Cellular Data by selecting the AT&T Unlimited Day Pass. Several sources also note that AT&T provides a free first day pass for one day per customer. The plan is described as available to qualifying Wi‑Fi + Cellular iPad models that support eSIM.
