A large fire breaks out at a multi-use warehouse on a business park in Oxgate Lane, Brent, in north-west London, shortly after 9pm on Thursday. London Fire Brigade crews respond with around 25 fire engines and approximately 150 firefighters. The blaze spreads to both floors and the roof, and by the height of the fire most of the structure is alight. Thick smoke rises from the scene and is visible from miles away.

Around 70 people from a neighbouring residential block are evacuated as a precaution while firefighters tackle the fire. Residents who are not evacuated are advised to keep doors and windows closed because of the “significant” amount of smoke.

The London Fire Brigade reports that there are no injuries at the time of the reports. Several outlets also note that many calls are made to 999 after the fire is spotted, with nearly 90 reports received. Firefighting operations continue as crews work to bring the blaze under control.
