Aurobindo Pharma says its wholly owned subsidiary, Aurobindo Pharma USA, has received approval from the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to acquire Lannett Company LLC. The transaction is reported as being valued at $250 million on a cash-free and debt-free basis, including normalized working capital, according to company disclosures referenced by multiple outlets. Lannett is a Pennsylvania-based pharmaceutical company, known for developing and selling complex generic medicines, including non-opioid controlled substances.

Aurobindo expects the acquisition to expand its product portfolio and strengthen its position in complex generics in the US market. Several reports also note that the deal would add Lannett’s manufacturing facility in Seymour, Indiana, which is described as having capacity to produce close to 4 billion doses annually. The company says integration is expected to bring operational synergies and cost savings. Aurobindo further projects the acquisition will be completed before the end of June 2026, with management stating the transaction is expected to be accretive to earnings per share.
