The Chicago White Sox activate catcher Kyle Teel from the injured list and option Edgar Quero to Triple-A Charlotte, the team announced. Teel, 24, strained his right hamstring while playing for Italy during the World Baseball Classic. He is coming off the 60-day injured list and is expected to make his season debut in the opener of a three-game series against the AL Central-leading Cleveland Guardians. Edgar Quero, another catcher in the organization, is sent to Triple-A Charlotte as part of the roster move, according to reports. The transactions adjust the White Sox’s catching depth as Teel returns from injury and prepares for his first appearance of the season. The activation also signals Teel’s readiness to rejoin the major league roster after recovering from the hamstring issue sustained during international play. The move keeps the White Sox aligned with the schedule for their upcoming series with Cleveland.
