When officers approach the hideout, the suspects reportedly open fire to resist arrest, prompting a gun battle. The police say the suspects flee and retreat deeper into the forest.
Police report that a search of the area leads to the safe recovery of the woman and the child. The victims are then taken to a medical facility for treatment. The police also state that efforts continue to capture the fleeing suspects and dismantle the criminal network behind the abduction.
