Bethesda Game Studios confirms multiple new projects for the Fallout franchise. In a new statement, the studio says Fallout 5 is in pre-production and describes it as its “long-range destination.” Bethesda also reiterates that its primary near-term focus remains on The Elder Scrolls 6, while Fallout work continues across several active projects. The company confirms that remasters of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas are in development, but does not announce release dates.
Bethesda also makes its collaboration with Obsidian official, stating that Obsidian Entertainment is working with Bethesda on a new Fallout project. Bethesda says more details will be shared later.
In addition, the statement includes updates across the broader franchise. Bethesda says Fallout 4 has sold 35 million copies and that Fallout Shelter has reached 250 million players. For Fallout 76, Bethesda says a major expansion titled “Raven Rock” is planned for 2027, described as a prequel story to Fallout 3. Bethesda also mentions plans related to Fallout’s 30th anniversary in 2027.
