Reliance Retail Ventures (RRVL) is outlining a three-year plan to rapidly scale its online business, expand its dark-store network, and strengthen omni-channel operations. Speaking on the company’s earnings call, CFO Dinesh Taluja says FY27 will focus on building a stronger foundation for future growth by investing in JioMart’s infrastructure and improving omni-channel reach across platforms. The company also plans to add more dark stores and enhance order fulfilment capabilities to improve availability, delivery speed, and reliability.
While the retailer expects these investments to support higher earnings and improved profitability over time, it acknowledges that margins may face short-term pressure due to increased technology spending and costs tied to dark-store expansion. The plan emphasizes market-by-market operational metrics and unit economics, with a stated goal of converting scale into higher earnings. Reliance Retail also highlights that its omni-channel approach is already driving customer value, including higher spend from customers shopping across online and offline channels.
Earlier reporting also points to growth within related quick-commerce and digital order volumes, supported by expanded store and dark-store coverage.
