Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule nominates eight people to serve as commissioners in his administration for the remaining months of his tenure. The nominees are presented to the Nasarawa State House of Assembly in Lafia during plenary on Wednesday, where the Speaker of the Assembly, Danladi Jatau, reads a letter from the governor announcing the appointments. The reported nominees include Muhammad Habeeb Nagogo, Ahmed Yakubu Mohammed, Mohammed Baba Shehu, Mohammed Iyimoga Oyigye, Adamu Rabecca Kpadji, Nawani Aboki, Jibril Abdullahi Ibrahim (FCNA), and Ashefo Daniel Paul.

Following the nominations, the Speaker directs the Clerk of the House to notify the nominees to submit 30 copies of their curriculum vitae and to appear for screening. The screening is scheduled for Friday, August 7, 2026, at the Assembly complex. Sources also note that the new appointments follow an earlier minor cabinet reshuffle announced on July 22, in which six commissioners were asked to step aside, with affected ministries including Works, Women Affairs, Information, Lands, Science and Technology, and Security.
