The ABC removes additional content associated with sacked reporter Mahmood Fazal as part of an ongoing review. Multiple outlets report that further episodes from the Four Corners program—and at least one from Background Briefing—are pulled after the broadcaster identifies more material raising concerns.

The ABC says its investigation focuses on Fazal’s use of anonymous interviewees. The Guardian reports the ABC has identified “three further stories of concern” and that the review includes multiple pieces of content. The West Australian and PerthNow report two more Four Corners episodes are removed, reflecting the broadcaster’s continuing step-by-step findings.

The reviews follow allegations from former Four Corners executive producer Sally Neighbour in a separate forum, which claim an associate of Fazal played different roles across stories while disguising their involvement. Across outlets, the shared point is that the ABC is reducing access to specific segments and episodes, while the details vary by outlet based on how many items have been identified at the time of reporting.
