A small earthquake is reported to have been felt in Grimsby and Cleethorpes in Lincolnshire, with residents describing a brief “shake and rumble” shortly before 8pm. The tremor is said to register around 7:47–7:50pm, and people in the surrounding area also report feeling it.
The British Geological Survey confirms the event as a 2.2 magnitude tremor on Tuesday evening (August 25).
