Chadha alleges the AAP-led Punjab government is using the revision exercise for “political vendetta” and suggests officials involved could face pressure because state postings and transfers are controlled by the Punjab government. He also claims the action fits a broader pattern of targeting people who have left the AAP. The AAP rejects these allegations, saying voter roll revision and deletions are carried out by the Election Commission of India and the state government has no role in removing names. Sources also note that Chadha’s voter registration history includes an earlier registration in Delhi before shifting to Mohali after becoming a Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab, and that final electoral rolls are expected to be published in October 2026.
