Netflix officially confirms “The Inbetweeners 3,” a reunion movie for the British teen comedy franchise, and says production is now under way. Multiple outlets report that Netflix begins filming in the UK, ending months of speculation about a revival of the cult Channel 4 series and its previous films.
All four original lead cast members are set to return: Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison, and Joe Thomas. Sources also identify the franchise creators Damon Beesley and Iain Morris as returning behind the scenes, and several outlets note that the project is positioned as a continuation of the show’s earlier story. Netflix releases a short teaser—described as about 40 seconds—featuring the reunited cast in Simon’s iconic yellow car.
Reporting differs mainly on framing details. Variety and Deadline focus on the confirmation and production status, with Variety noting the film’s title “Inbetweeners 3.” Mashable and HuffPost UK emphasize the teaser and its visuals, while Times of India and the Daily Mail specify the timing, describing production starting Monday or next week for a global OTT release. Overall, outlets align on the reunion cast and that filming has started.
