In explaining its move, the FFF cites a loss of trust in FIFA’s leadership and criticises Infantino’s approach to running the organisation. Several outlets report that the FFF points to an aborted private investment plan involving proposed stakes in the World Cup and other football activities, saying it has damaged the image and unity of football. Other reports place the French decision within a wider European shift.
