Kia unveils the PV7, its second dedicated all-electric Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) model, as an expansion of its electric commercial van lineup. The PV7 is shown at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover, Germany, following the smaller PV5. Kia positions the PV7 for both commercial logistics and passenger transport, emphasizing larger capacity and a layout designed to maximize usable interior space.
Across outlets, the PV7 is described as building on Kia’s PBV-dedicated Electric-Global Modular Platform and featuring a flat-floor design. Jalopnik adds that Kia offers extensive customization, including multiple configurations, two roof heights and two wheelbases, along with separate cargo and passenger variants. Korea Times reports that the PV7 is available as Cargo and Passenger and targets uses such as logistics, fleet operations, shuttle services, and small-to-medium businesses.
Planned availability also differs by timing details. Korea Times says Kia launches the PV7 in Korea and Europe in the second half of 2027, with additional markets and derivatives later. Car and Driver and Jalopnik instead describe sales starting next year in South Korea and Europe, focusing on configuration breadth rather than the exact quarter.
