Manipal Hospitals (reported as Manipal Health by some outlets) repays ₹5,310 crore of debt using proceeds from its initial public offering (IPO), according to multiple reports. The repayment reduces the company’s outstanding borrowings by that amount.
The outlets say the move is carried out using part of the IPO proceeds and is consistent with the company’s IPO documentation. The Hindu and Business Line specify that the redemption is conducted in line with the July 31, 2026 Prospectus. The Hindu also adds that the debt reduction is expected to lower interest costs, strengthen leverage, and provide more financial flexibility for future expansion and capacity investments.
While the sources broadly agree on the amount repaid and the use of IPO proceeds, emphasis differs: Times of India focuses on the repayment figure, The Hindu highlights the expected financial impact, and Business Line stresses the procedural link to the prospectus disclosures.
