Indian equities end the week higher after a broad rebound in large-cap stocks. Reports say nine of the 10 most valuable companies together add about ₹3.65 lakh crore to their combined market capitalisation, while Larsen & Toubro is the only company among the top 10 to lose market value.

The BSE Sensex rises 2,256.94 points (about 3.11%) and the NSE Nifty gains 625.7 points (about 2.77%) over the week. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is highlighted as the biggest winner, adding about ₹1.08 lakh crore to its market valuation. Bharti Airtel and Infosys also post substantial gains, with Bharti Airtel described as the second-largest gainer and Infosys among the top contributors.

Different outlets attribute the rally to improved investor sentiment and renewed buying, particularly in information technology stocks, following encouraging September-quarter earnings. Coverage also notes that banking stocks participate in the rebound, with HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank among firms seeing gains.
