Imo State Police Command says it has arrested 22-year-old Bright Adiene over a suspected cult-related murder of Nnamdi Okeke in Owerri. Police state that Adiene is being held in connection with the killing.
Both outlets report the police are also seeking a second suspect, identified as Anyima, linked to the same incident. Vanguard adds that the murder was reported on October 17, 2026, and says efforts to arrest Anyima are ongoing. The two reports otherwise align on the basic facts: the location is Owerri, the victim is Nnamdi Okeke, and Adiene is the person arrested by the police in Imo.
