Netflix confirms that “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call” will return for both Seasons 2 and 3, which are currently in production. The decision brings back the series’ emergency-room storyline for two additional rounds.
Across the outlets, Netflix also confirms key cast updates. Ju Ji-hoon and Choo Young-woo are set to reprise their roles as surgeon Baek Gang-hyeok and his protege Yang Jae-won. The role of Cheon Jang-mi, previously played by Ahn Ha-young, will be recast with Jung Ye-in joining the show as the veteran nurse.
Variety adds that the first season performed strongly on Netflix, reaching Top 10 status in 63 countries and No. 1 in 18. Deadline and Inquirer.net frame the update as both a renewal and a production milestone, while all sources agree on the simultaneous development of the next two seasons and the central cast returning with the recasting of Cheon Jang-mi.
