Delhi records its coldest night of October so far, with the minimum temperature falling to about 17.1°C, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Reports cite temperatures slightly below seasonal norms across multiple weather stations in the national capital, including readings around 16.8°C at Lodhi Road and Ayanagar and 16.9°C at Palam.

IMD forecasts mainly clear skies for Monday, with a daytime maximum temperature expected to reach around 32°C. This leads to a sharp contrast between cooler nights and relatively warmer afternoons. One outlet also reports no rainfall during the preceding 24-hour period ending in the morning, reinforcing the dry conditions.

Alongside the temperature drop, NDTV flags air quality concerns, saying conditions may worsen. Another report provides an early-morning Air Quality Index (AQI) reading in the ‘moderate’ range, based on Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, but indicates the situation could deteriorate as conditions continue.
