Actor and New Kids on the Block singer Donnie Wahlberg says he is unharmed after a private jet skids off the runway during a takeoff attempt at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid International Airport. Multiple outlets report that the aircraft runs out of runway while trying to depart and comes into contact with airport infrastructure, including a fence.
Wahlberg says the pilots’ actions help prevent a more serious outcome, describing the crew’s handling as lifesaving. In comments shared after the incident, he also credits his safety to faith, posting thanks for everyone aboard and telling fans there was no injury. Coverage focuses on the narrow escape and the passengers’ accounts, with outlets differing mainly in how prominently they highlight Wahlberg’s religious remarks versus the aviation details of the runway overrun and fence impact.
