A24 has released the first trailer for Slayground, a new Halloween-themed action-thriller from director Jeremy Saulnier, best known for Rebel Ridge and Green Room. Multiple outlets describe the trailer as introducing the film’s haunted setting and a deadly mystery tone, positioning the release as a “first look” for audiences ahead of the movie’s scheduled January release.
The coverage aligns on the core details: the director’s identity, the film’s association with A24, and that the trailer presents a horror-leaning story element involving a haunted attraction that turns dangerous. Sources also highlight the cast, naming Sophie Wilde and an actor referred to as “The Riddler” in connection with the Gotham franchise. While the overall framing is similar—Halloween appeal, thriller suspense, and the trailer reveal—each outlet emphasizes slightly different aspects, such as the director’s credentials or the trailer’s genre promise.
