Kobelco Construction Machinery launches three new excavator models and sets growth targets for its business in India. The company says it aims for revenue of around ₹2,500 crore this year, including exports, as it expands product availability and customer reach.
In addition, Kobelco frames the move as part of a wider strategy that includes deepening excavator localisation and tailoring offerings to different customer segments. The Hindu reports that India contributes roughly 9–11% of the company’s overall revenue, citing director Moses Eddy, and links the launch to topline growth expectations of 8–10%. Times of India similarly highlights the localisation push to widen its reach, while Business Line focuses on market conditions and the new models’ intended buyers.
Business Line adds operational and market context, saying the Sri City plant has capacity for 3,500 units and that the new excavators target smaller contractors and rental players, alongside a stated aim of about 3% growth in the excavator market.
