Adani Wind, the wind energy arm of Adani New Industries Ltd, secures orders worth 696.2 MW for wind turbine generators from five power producers. The contracts are placed from customers outside the Adani Group and lift its third-party order book to more than 1 gigawatt, as the company expands its presence in India’s wind energy market.

The orders cover three turbine platforms and projects across Karnataka, Gujarat and Maharashtra. Reported suppliers include Purvah Green Power, Jindal India Power, NTPC Renewable Energy, Aditya Birla Renewables and Integrum Energy. The projects involve installations using turbine models rated around 5 MW, 5.2 MW and 3.3 MW, with specifics including turbine counts for sites in Karnataka and Gujarat.

Adani Wind’s broader manufacturing expansion plans also feature in the coverage, including a plan to increase annual turbine manufacturing capacity at its Mundra facility in Gujarat from 2.25 GW to 5 GW, with a longer-term target of 10 GW. One outlet adds platform and deployment details, while another focuses on the headline figure and the third-party order book crossing 1 GW.
