A 33-year-old man in Panama City, Florida, is killed after being stabbed during an apparent Facebook Marketplace car sale at his home. Kenny Dale Ashby was selling a 2002 Dodge Neon on July 3 when the alleged buyer, Joseph Michael Lynch, arrived late at night and the situation escalated into an argument.
Prosecutors say Lynch became enraged over the car’s missing title, kicked down the front door, and stabbed Ashby multiple times inside the house where his wife, a young daughter, and other adults were present. The reports say Lynch fled with phones from those in the home and was later arrested near the property after being found and admitting the attack.
After the incident, Lynch pleaded no contest, with prosecutors describing the killing as “senseless and violent.” Metro emphasizes the sequence of events and the family’s presence during the attack. The Daily Mail similarly reports the deadly stabbing during a Marketplace car sale and highlights the confrontation, framing it around the buyer’s anger and the witnesses inside the home.
